Scott Higgins

"A City Stands United"

PLAYER PROFILE

A member of the inaugural Queensland Roar squad under the tutelage of Miron Bleiberg, Higgins, affectionately known as ‘Giggles’, is one of Australian football’s true characters.

After spending one season in the Hyundai A-League he moved to Falkirk in the Scottish Premier League and fulfilled a lifelong dream of playing at the home of his beloved Glasgow Celtic when he kept goal for ‘The Bairns’ at Parkhead.

Subsequent moves to Maccabi Herzliya, where he was the first Australian to play in Israeli football, and short-term deals with Adelaide United and Wellington Phoenix, make Queensland-born Higgins one of the most well-travelled players in the Hyundai A-League. His experience will be vital in United’s first campaign.
