CITIC Pacific Mining's Sino Iron project is a world class, large-scale magnetite iron ore project, the first of its kind in Western Australia. It is bringing innovative, new mining processes to this country and is the first iron ore project to include large scale downstream processing.

Balmoral South

Australasian Resources Limited, through its wholly owned subsidiary International Minerals Pty Ltd, plans to develop the world-class Balmoral South Iron Ore Project in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.

The extensive Balmoral deposit, which is owned by private company Mineralogy Pty Ltd, is reputedly the world’s largest undeveloped magnetite resource which, according to estimates by Hellman & Schofield Pty Ltd independent geological consultants, has the potential to host 60 – 100 billion tonnes of magnetic Banded Iron Formation.

Austeel

Austeel is developing a world-class steel operation capable of competing with the low cost high quality producers in the world. Austeel’s extensive iron ore deposit in the Pilbara Region of Western Australia will produce a very high quality iron concentrate which can be further processed into direct reduced iron for conversion into final steel products.

Gladstone Pacific

The company’s vision is to build a major long-life nickel cobalt refinery at the deepwater port at Gladstone, in Central Queensland, Australia, treating abundant high grade nickel laterite ores from New Caledonia and other south-west Pacific islands, underpinned by beneficiated ores from its own Marlborough deposits.

The Project has the potential to be one of the largest of its type in the world producing some 120,000 tpa nickel (8 - 10% of global nickel demand) and 10,000 tpa of cobalt metal from its first two stages.

Palmer Petroleum

Palmer Peroleum Pty Ltd holds a 100% interest in the offshore exploration licences PPL 379, PPL 380 and PPL 381. PPL 379, PPL 380 and PPL 381 are located offshore at the northern end of the Gulf of Papua, immediately west of the capital, Port Moresby.
